Training Advisor – Engineering Permanent

Reporting to the Trades Regional Manager you will be the Training Advisor in the Southland region of New Zealand for Competenz learners and customers in the engineering sector.  You will build and maintain positive relationships with the learners and employers whilst ensuring your engagement reflects a thorough understanding of your customers business.

You will have absolute focus on the learner, setting them up for success and providing tailored support through their apprenticeship whilst also focusing on apprenticeship replenishment and growth through identification of wider business opportunities.

The office base for this role will be in Invercargill but you will be visiting learners and employers based throughout Southland.

What skills you will you bring:

• Mechanical, Fabrication, or related Engineering trade qualifications and experience
• Experience in a customer focused role
• Understanding of Education or Training industry beneficial
• Adult education certificate or Training delivery qualification and/or experience beneficial
• Strong administrative skills
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage own territory effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of the customer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of computer literacy
• Workplace Assessor and/or Moderator beneficial
