Reporting to the Lead Learning Designer you will be based in Newmarket, Auckland. The working environment is vibrant, and the culture is one of the best in New Zealand. A bonus offer of free parking to their staff, but the office is also centrally located for public transport.

You will be responsible for:

• Edit and proof draft content prior to final lay-up and deign to ensure content is in plain English and easy to follow (print or digital).
• Complete end point editing and proof-reading checks on resource materials.
• Edit document design and format when needed, to meet style guidelines and templates.
• Re-design and develop documents to improve instructional design.
• Liaise with learning designers as required to assure content quality and accuracy.
• Assure content is readable and comprehensible at the level of readership expected within a learners Qualification
• Check for text/grammar/alignment/language consistency/pagination/tables
• Work with learning designers to map best practice processes to assure continuous improvement it applied to design
• Work with Learning Designers to assure the quality of templates designed are fit for purpose
• Work to create editable PDF templates or e-books
• Collaborate with marketing to make sure the style guides/fonts are always up to date in resources
• Edit online and print content and check it against guidelines and rewrite if necessary

Qualifications and relevant experience

• 2 – 5 years’ experience in editing/publishing in a related field
• Communication or marketing work experience – ideal
• Copy/Online/digital editorial experience
• Experience and/or a qualification in adult education ideal
