WasteMINZ is the largest representative body of the waste, resource recovery and contaminated land sectors in New Zealand. Formed in 1989 it is a membership-based organisation with over 1,000 members – from small operators through to councils and large companies.
On behalf of WasteMINZ we are seeking to appoint their new Chief Executive Officer. As CEO you will be managing a small team, providing inspirational leadership to the WasteMINZ team.
The CEO is responsible for the leadership, strategy implementation and operations management of a complex not-for-profit operating in the waste and resource recovery sector. This role leads the continued growth in membership and projects/activities of WasteMINZ and its Sector Groups.
As CEO you are responsible for raising the brand profile, reputation and credibility of WasteMINZ throughout its stakeholder group, including members, Central and Local Government and the wider waste and resource recovery sector, which includes both national and on occasion international travel to engage with members and stakeholders to be better able to advocate their position.
Reporting directly to the Chair, you will be tasked with building on the foundations of the past and continue to grow and develop the organisation, ensuring the sustainability of its influential relationships.
