Advisor, Strategy & Policy Development, Te Ao Māori Strategy Full Time

This 6-month fixed term contract has been created and is critical in supporting the Te Ao Māori Transformation Programme, which is a strategy-led, leader-led, systems-wide approach to embed Te Ao Māori within policies, process, and practices.

The role is part of the Māori & Community Engagement team which is a small dynamic team.

Over the six months you will be working with the Principle Advisor: Ropu Māori Hononga Hapori and other key stakeholders to develop the Te Ao Māori Strategy.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience for te ao Māori, Tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implementation is ideal
• Extensive skills, knowledge and experience in strategy development, policy development or a similar field
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience in working in collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders
• Demonstrated skills and experience to identify, collect, organise, and analyse data to provide information and enable decision making.

This is a fixed term position available for 6 months.
